Trademark Policy

This policy describes how Admit Vault-related businesses and individuals may and may not use its brand name, logo, and other company assets.

Admit Vault  owns and manages the Admit Vault brand assets, including the "Admit Vault"/"AdmitVault" wordmarks and the Admit Vault logo (collectively, the "Marks"). We created this trademark usage policy to:

  1. Simplify how the Admit Vault name or logo may be used for community initiatives that promote and enhance the platform.
  2. Clarify how Admit Vault–related businesses and projects may and may not use its name and logo.
  3. Prevent misuse of the Admit Vault brand or logo to gain unfair advantage, deceive, or mislead individuals seeking legitimate Admit Vault resources.

Admit Vault's Trademark Usage Policy

To use the Admit Vault name or logo as part of any project, product, service, domain name, or corporate name, you must obtain prior written permission from Admit Vault.

Permission will typically be considered for projects that:

  • Promote the development and expansion of Admit Vault and its community.
  • Are non-commercial (not-for-profit) and avoid any implication of endorsement.

Domain names

The word "Admit Vault" (or confusingly similar variations) should not be used in a domain name. Only officially authorized communities may use the Marks in a domain name with explicit written permission from Admit Vault.

For example, registering a domain like admitvaultprep.com or admitvault-essays.io for similar services would violate this policy.

Business and project names

Businesses or initiatives associated with our industry may reference Admit Vault to describe compatibility or subject matter (nominative fair use), but may not use the Marks as part of a product, service, company, or app name; nor may they use them in a way that implies affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.

✅ Acceptable: "ABC Advising — tutorials covering Admit Vault resources."
❌ Not acceptable: "The Admit Vault Advising Company."

Logos and visual use

  • You may display the Admit Vault logo on a website about Admit Vault (e.g., referencing our resources) provided it is not part of your own logo or primary branding, and provided the use does not imply endorsement.
  • Do not modify, distort, recolor, or combine the logo with other graphics, or use it as a brand element for your product, service, or company.
  • Maintain clear space around the logo and use it at a legible size. Do not use the Marks on merchandise without written permission.

Prohibited uses

  • Using "Admit Vault" or confusingly similar names in your company, product, app, or domain name.
  • Using our Marks in a way that suggests sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement without permission.
  • Selling, republishing, or showcasing Admit Vault content or downloadable materials without explicit permission (see our Terms of Service).
  • Altering or combining the Admit Vault logo with other graphics or words.
  • Using the Marks in advertising for illegal, deceptive, or unethical practices.

Nominative fair use (reference use)

You may use the "Admit Vault" name in plain text to accurately refer to our company, platform, or materials (e.g., "This guide compares Admit Vault to other resources") provided:

  • You use only what is necessary (e.g., the name, not the logo).
  • Your use does not suggest endorsement or affiliation and includes a clear disclaimer if needed.
  • Your use does not disparage or mislead users about Admit Vault or its services.

Ownership and reservation of rights

The Admit Vault Marks are the exclusive property of Admit Vault. All goodwill generated by permitted use accrues to Admit Vault. We reserve the right to revoke permission for any use of the Marks at any time at our sole discretion.

Relationship to other policies
